I learned that

1) Componentisation (ugh!) is not easy

2) We don’t have a good method for doing it

3) the CRC approach can yield useful insights

4) distribution for its own sake is not useful

5) there is disagreement about the desirable/allowable dependencies between components (e.g. hierarchical, peer to peer)

I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t have more direct implementation experience between us. Someone from Iona and Microsoft would have been nice!
